SUB4 – Australian Consumer Law Compliant Policy

At SUB4, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
  • A repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

These rights apply regardless of any timeframes stated below.

CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS (RETAIL ITEMS ONLY)

If you change your mind, you may return eligible retail items purchased from our website within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund, provided that:

  • The item is unused, unworn, and in original condition
  • Proof of purchase is provided

Please note:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns
  • No restocking fees apply

FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or does not meet the consumer guarantees, please contact us as soon as possible at info@sub4.com.au.

Depending on the nature of the issue, we will offer:

  • A repair
  • A replacement
  • A refund

in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Return shipping costs for faulty or incorrect items will be covered by SUB4.

There is no fixed time limit (such as 30 days) on returning faulty items—returns are assessed based on what is considered a reasonable time under ACL, having regard to the type of product and expected lifespan.

WARRANTY & WEAR

Our products are designed to be durable and fit for purpose. Normal wear and tear is not considered a fault.
However, if a product fails earlier than reasonably expected, it may still be covered under the Australian Consumer Law.

If you believe an item has a manufacturing fault, please contact us with details and photos where possible.

SIZE EXCHANGES (RETAIL ITEMS)

We are happy to offer size exchanges for unused retail items.

To request a size exchange:

  • Return the item to the address above
  • Include details of the replacement size required
  • Include a pre-paid, self-addressed reply satchel

CUSTOMISED, PRINTED ITEMS & TEAMWEAR

Customised, printed, and made-to-order items are produced specifically for you.

For these items:

  • Change-of-mind returns or size changes are not available
  • Please check sizing carefully using our size guides
  • We recommend ordering samples where exact colour or fit matching is critical

However, your ACL rights still apply.
If a customised item is faulty, not as approved, or not fit for purpose, please contact us and we will provide a remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

PURCHASES FROM OTHER RETAILERS

If you purchased a SUB4 product from a third-party retailer or online store, please contact that seller directly, as they are responsible for providing remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
